Monday night we were supposed to have a lesson, but they canceled on us. We spent 45 minutes on hold with the old folks home trying to confirm us coming to sing Tuesday instead. We finally decided to hang up and show up the next day (it all worked out).
On Tuesday we had 5 lessons scheduled, but all fell through except 1. We also got to sing at the old folks home. It was really fun.
On Wednesday we helped at the food pantry. After the food pantry we had two lessons. One with our friend Ellie and one with our friends Charles and Levi. Charles is so funny. He was telling us about his religious background and goes, “I think of myself as more Jedi.” :) After their lesson we had dinner with the Heath family. I love them. Sam (their son) is hilarious.
On Thursday we did a mission wide turkey trot!! Everyone in the mission either went running or went for a walk in the morning. It was amazing!!! After that we went chalking, planned for the upcoming week, and partied at the Brunettes. We had dinner with the Brunettes, Heaths, Sister Proctor, the Spanish Elders, and one of their friends. It was quite the party.
On Friday we had 3 lessons. We had a video lesson with our friend Emily. We are working on passing her off to the STLs (she lives in their area). After that we had a lesson with a sweet older lady at an apartment complex. Our third lesson was with our friend Rosa. She is so sweet and has such a desire to learn truth.
On Saturday we had district council. After district council we went to the light up Corydon festival for a little bit before having a lesson with our friends Carter and Lisa. After their lesson we went back to light up Corydon. We did some whiteboarding and then had a lesson with our new friend, Jill. She is super sweet! After her lesson we had dinner with the Buttiglieri family.
Sunday the Bishopric got reorganized. The Bishop and his family got called to serve a mission in the English branch because the branch there is shrinking. Our ward mission leader is now in the Bishopric, so, needless to say, we did not have ward correlation. We had a lesson with our inactive member named Timothy. He is so sweet. After his lesson we had a lesson with our friend Wanda. After Wanda's lesson we had dinner with the Sodders. They showed us their “man cave” (basically a room with probably 20 animal heads hanging).
